40 years of experience for your quality management

After completing my engineering degree, my path led me into the fascinating world of the semiconductor industry. Under the leadership of the Fraunhofer Society, Siemens, Philips, AEG, Suess, Eurosil, Hoechst and others worked on X-ray lithography. This period was marked by extensive international exchange at conferences, with own contributions.

This was followed by several years in the USA in the “Memory Development Alliance” of IBM, Siemens, and Toshiba. There, I gained deep technical understanding, excellent English skills, a strong appreciation of cultural differences, and two patents.

Back in Germany, I became head of quality management at a large, innovative semiconductor plant. There, my passion for quality and continuous improvement took shape. Together with the Kaizen Institute Europe, I introduced a continuous improvement process at the plant that is still active today.

Later, as “Senior Principal Quality Management,” I focused fully on improving and implementing global QM processes. Here I was able to apply Six Sigma, 8D, project management, and other methods extensively, most recently in the introduction of the 7-step FMEA.

After 40 years in my career, I now pass this experience on as an independent consultant. My goal is to help companies use quality as a competitive advantage.
